Max Hunter has a problem. Money for college. He doesn’t have any. His parents won’t help him, scholarships are for actual achievers, and a “medical condition” rules out being all that he can be. Without wanting the bondage of loans, Max hits upon a bondage of another kind: he decides to get himself arrested, go to jail, and let the state pay his way. Now, if he can just think up a crime, get convicted, and keep his ex-girlfriend from busting him out, he may have hit upon the most brilliant solution to college financing his school counselor has ever heard.
